8:00 pm: Games Night
8:00 pm to10:00 pm
The Case has a long main bar, with benches and tables set into the bay windows. The bar was made by a local craftsman as part of our 2015 refurbishment, and is finished with a light oak top.
In March 2019, the bay windows in the main bar were replaced with new double glazed units within wooden frames to match the originals but without the rot! We’re pleased to report that the alcoves now offer a much cosier and draft free experience as a result.
To the rear, we have a smaller bar, which can be reserved for a function.
We also have a large general purpose area, known as the garden room, with patio doors providing views across the garden. This has a wood burner for additional heating, making it a perfect place to meet up with friends in both summer and winter. As with the rear room, this can be reserved for a function.
Outside, the pub has a large garden with a grassed area, trees for shade, benches and enclosed by a fence, making it a safe place for children to run around. The pub is next door to the village play area, which has swings and climbing frames for children. There is a gate directly from the pub garden to the play area.
We have a large car park to the rear of the pub, places to hitch your horse, and bicycles can be locked to the inside of the front fence. There are also bike stands outside the community shop which shares the use of our car park.
There is level access to the pub and inside level access to a modern disabled toilet. The path from the car park to the pub front, between the pub and shop, is paved, making it a good route for wheelchairs, prams and buggies.
Families with children are very welcome.
We have free WiFi available. We don’t have a TV, we much prefer a pub where people talk to each other! There is a darts board, and a number of games available. There are books for sale (proceeds towards pub refurbishment), and we have a large number of pictures on display and for sale from local artists.
Dogs on leads are also welcome and are permitted in the bar areas.
We’re easy to find: 1 mile from the A12, and about 5 miles south of Ipswich. For more information on our exact location, see our map page.
