12:00 pm: Easter Monday
12:00 pm to3:00 pm
On Wednesday 17th April 2024 we will be celebrating 10 years since we first opened our doors as a community owned pub and started trading as Bentley Community Pub Limited. In fact the Case was the first co-operative pub in Suffolk.
We think Bentley should be proud of the Case’s important status amongst community and cooperative pubs in Suffolk. The EADT Suffolk Magazine certainly thinks so and they will be running a feature on us over the next few months. They also thought we should be very proud of our volunteers and we would certainly like to thank all our volunteers for their hard work over the last 10 years. A huge thank you in particular should go out to those who were instrumental during those early days for master minding the fundraising and business plan that enabled Bentley to keep its only pub – it could so easily have gone the way of so many rural public houses and have been converted into a private dwelling.
To mark the occasion we would like to take another photo of the Case with as many of our supporters outside as possible. We took one on the day the pub re-opened in 2014 and on our 5th anniversary in 2019. If you’re a shareholder, a volunteer or a regular customer, we invite you to join us at lunchtime on the 17th (at 1pm) for a 10th anniversary photo. To make it a real celebration, the bar will be open and we have a professional photographer from the EADT Suffolk Magazine taking the shot. It would really be great to see you there and toast all those who made this all possible 10 years ago and those who continue to make it a success today. Cheers !!
