Quiz Night: 16th April 2022

We will be holding our first Quiz Night of 2022 on Saturday, 16th April which will form part of our 8th Anniversary Celebrations weekend. Yes, it seems incredible that it is 8 years since we became a community pub!

Once again Dolly’s Pizza van will be with us. Dolly will be serving pizzas from 4:30 to 7pm, from the car park. The pub will be open from 5pm so you will be able to enjoy a drink while eating your pizza. The quiz will be starting at 8pm.

Dolly’s pizzas are very popular; to avoid disappointment it is always best to pre-order on 07856 070123. Gluten free pizzas will be available. For further information, including a menu, look on Facebook for Dolly’s Pizza Van.

The quiz format will be as usual: one of our guest Quiz Masters will set the questions, £36 of Case drinks tokens will go to the highest scoring team and a wooden spoon to the lowest. Entry to the quiz will be £2 per head with a maximum of 6 people per team. In addition there will be a raffle with prizes of wine and chocolates.

Please note that although we have been able to organise some quizzes so people could participate when seated outside, that is not going to be practical until the evenings are warmer. Instead, for the time being, quizzes will be held inside but as an anti-Covid precaution, windows will be open and extractor fans will operate to improve ventilation. If you feel a bit chilly as a result, please bear with us and understand the reasons for these steps.

All the profits from the quiz and raffle will go to charity. For this event, the beneficiary will again be St Elizabeth Hospice.
