Following today’s announcement by the prime minister that the ‘Step Two’ relaxations of the government’s ‘roadmap’ of Covid lockdown restrictions are to go ahead on 12th April, we plan to reopen the garden of the Case for drinks from the first weekend after the 12th April, which will be 16 – 18 April.
Our opening times for this weekend will be:
Subsequently we will be opening on Friday and Saturday evenings 6-9 pm and Sundays 12-2pm but will be looking to expand these hours as Covid restrictions are relaxed and the weather improves.
Please note that we will also be open for off-licence sales during all these times, no need to telephone.
The reason for opening slightly earlier on Saturday 17 April is that this will be our 7th anniversary as a Community pub! In order to celebrate this we have invited Dolly’s Pizza Van back to the Case from 5pm – 8pm so for that evening we will be opening a little earlier and you will be able to enjoy a drink or two while eating your pizza. Dolly’s pizzas are very popular so to avoid disappointment and overcrowding in the car park you will need to pre-order. Gluten free pizzas are available but these must be ordered at least one day before as there is limited availability. Please ring 07856 070 123 to place your order or go to Dolly’s Pizza Van (food Stall) on Facebook to see their menu.
Of course we will be adhering to the current proposed restrictions regarding service when re-opening, so it will be a requirement to both order and drink while seated (ie. ‘table service’ only). Once we are able to move inside (expected to be after 17 May) you will still be required to use the table service for drinks but we will be able to open for longer and not be so weather dependent. Both inside and out, following government guidelines, customers will be permitted to be seated in groups of up to 6 individuals or 2 families.
For the safety of our volunteers and customers we will, for at least for the immediate future, continue with all the Covid secure practices we put in place during the last year:
visual reminders to maintain a safe social distance unless in a ‘bubble’
use of the disabled toilets while the garden only is open
hand sanitizer stations around the pub (inside and out)
a one way system, when the inside of the pub can open
retaining the full height screen around the bar
use of the National track and trace system
contactless payments
no seating at the bar
Only when it is safe to do so and in accordance with Government guidelines will these measures be removed.
