Suffolk Day is the annual celebration of all things Suffolk and this year it falls on Friday 21st June which also happens to be the summer solstice ie. the longest day. Why not join us at the Case where we will be marking the occasion with a selection of Suffolk themed real ales.
We can now reveal that the selected Suffolk ales are:
From Nethergate Brewery:
Suffolk County [4.0% ABV] A Chestnut coloured best bitter, biscuit malt dominates the warm, well-rounded roasted background with a wonderful bitter finish.
Melford Mild [3.7% ABV] An old fashioned dark mild but with a surprisingly fresh bitterness which holds right to the end of the palate.
Masterpiece [4.0% ABV] Chestnut session bitter, inspired by the famous local artist Thomas Gainsborough.
From Mauldon Brewery:
Suffolk Pride [4.8% ABV] A full bodied strong bitter, light in colour with a powerful bouquet of hops & developed fruit with a deep dry finish.
From Adnams Brewery:
Southwold Bitter [3.7% ABV] Copper coloured with fragrant aromas of finest English hops (Fuggles) and East Anglian Pale Ale malt barley. Dry but refreshing, with a distinctive lingering bitterness.
