12:00 pm: New Year's Day
12:00 pm to3:00 pm
No doubt many of you will have seen from the board outside the pub (pictured here with Stewart Rowe who has done such a great job maintaining the board), that we have now raised £25,000 since we paid for The Case back in February – a quarter of the way towards our new target of an extra £100,000 for the refurbishment of the building.
These new funds have been raised from a combination of share subscriptions, donations and trading surpluses, the latter of which our many volunteers have made such a great contribution towards.
We still have a long way to go, and will reach our target more quickly if we can attract more new share investments. Expanding our shareholder base is not only important for fundraising, but also for participation – the more members we have, even if they have only invested the minimum £250, the more of a community pub we become!
Don’t forget, if you are UK taxpayer, you can expect to receive 30% of your investment back from the taxman via EIS, a great incentive in itself to buy a stake in our community pub!
