4:30 pm: Dolly's Pizzas
4:30 pm to7:00 pm
We hope to complete the sale within the next few weeks. Once we have the keys, we plan to hold an OPEN DAY at The Case, so look out for details of that soon.
Whilst we have raised just enough money to buy the building, a magnificent achievement in itself, we still need to raise a lot more to cover the repairs, refurbishment and prepare the pub for reopening.
Our original fundraising target was £350,000. Once we have received detailed costings for the repairs and refurbishment, this figure may be revised, however at this stage, we are pushing on towards this new target. We are still actively seeking share subscriptions from new investors or those willing to increase their stake, to help fund our plans.
It’s very easy to buy shares! Just complete the application form in our Share Offer Document (available to download from our website www.thecasepubbentley.co.uk) or simply get in touch with our Treasurer, Peter Cross, Chair, David Westley, or Vice-Chair, Liz Whitman, (see details below) and we will make the necessary arrangements. Existing investors wishing to buy additional shares, just need to make contact with one of us. And don’t forget, if you are a UK taxpayer, you will receive a tax rebate of 30% of the value of your shares. Our priority is, as it always has been, to raise funds via the sale of shares. However if you wish to make a donation, loan or even have an idea for a fundraising event you would like to organise, we would love to hear from you. We are very keen to minimise the amount we have to borrow from commercial loans and, if possible, avoid that altogether.
The next steps are to develop detailed plans for the repairs and refurbishment of the building. At this stage we are unable to commit to a reopening date which, among other things, will depend on the availability of builders; however, we are hopeful of being open for business in some form by the summer. We are also looking for volunteers who can offer practical skills or general assistance during the refurbishment. We would also be glad to hear from local trades people and businesses who can offer to help or who would be interested in tendering for specific work.
