We are One Month old!

Just to remind you of the amazing journey we’ve been on!

December – still raising money

End January – offer accepted!

February: Finding the garden

March: Sorting the place out

April: Open Day, 17th April

May: People enjoying the sunshine in the garden

And we’ve still got a long way to go! We’ve started to put the kitchen back into working order, and have our first pop-up restaurant in a couple of weeks’ time – a Pizza Night, a sell-out already! There’s a Burger Night planned for the 21st June, and another Pizza Night in July.
We’ve got plans for music nights (the first on 31st May, after the Pizzas), Quiz Nights, and even a World Wide Geocaching Flash Mob!
We still need to raise money to complete the repair works on the pub, and we’ve started targeted grant applications for the shop and for the pub alterations planned for next year (sorting the accommodation out, upgrading the loos, and possibly some structural changes – plus putting a log fire or two in!).
Then we have to recruit the right pub manager, and get food going as a regular thing – plus, of course, full opening hours.

As Lao-tzu said – “A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step” – who knows what we can achieve together! And hasn’t it been fun so far!!
