12:00 pm: Summer Bank Holiday
12:00 pm to3:00 pm
Each year the Case selects a ‘charity of the year’ to support for fund raising activities. Our last such charity was The Samaritans of Ipswich and East Suffolk which we are pleased to say we were able to raise over £3,400 for. From April 2024, we will be supporting the Alzheimer’s Society.
Sadly, for the last 10 years, dementia and Alzheimer’s have been the leading cause of death in Britain and a lot of people will have been touched by this devastating disease. Alzheimer’s Society is the UK’s leading dementia charity. They provide information and support, improve care, fund research, and create lasting change for people affected by dementia.
The emblem of the Alzheimer’s charity is the forget me not. There will be forget me not pin badges, posters and information booklets available in the pub from late April and there’s a collection pot on the bar now.
Throughout the year we will be organising various fun events to raise money for this charity. Our monthly Quiz Night and raffle on Saturday 27th April will start us off!
UPDATE 9/9/24: The total we have collected for Alzheimers so far is £2154.80. For the very latest info, see our charity of the year notice board in the pub:
