12:00 pm: Summer Bank Holiday
12:00 pm to3:00 pm
At lunchtime on Saturday 29 October, we will be hosting a charity event in aid of the 33 million people who have been made homeless by the unprecedented monsoon rains in Pakistan which have caused devastation this summer. You’ll have seen videos on the news of the horrifying floods which have not only deprived people of everything they had but also wrecked their chances of future crops. If you’ve thought, “How can I help?” – here’s your chance and you’ll also have a lovely meal into the bargain.
We will be offering a Ploughman’s Lunch with dessert for £10 per person. The bar will be open from 12 noon to 2.30pm, tea and coffee will also be available. All proceeds will go to DEC – Disasters Emergency Committee. There will be 2 sittings and booking is essential.
Please enquire at Bentley Stores to book your time slot.
UPDATE 1/11/22: This event raised a total of £475 for the Pakistan Floods Appeal. Thanks to everyone who contributed.
