Our Community Share Offer Relaunches 27 January 2017

We are officially re-launching our share offer on Friday 27 January, so if you’re not already a member, this is your chance to become a part-owner of our successful community pub. We already have over 200 members, so you’ll be in great company – why not join us today?

Why is it so important to attract new investment?

We have identified a number of repairs and improvements to the building, the most urgent being the replacement of the bay windows in the front bar, which you may have noticed are looking distinctly ropey.   

Our target is to raise £72,000 worth of new shares (the total estimated cost of all the jobs we would like to complete, a full list of which is detailed in our Share Offer Document) by 25 March.

We all know the difference the pub has made to our community (without it we wouldn’t have a shop either), so please show your support by becoming an investor. If you’re already a member, why not increase your stake?

Consider the benefits to you:

• 30% EIS tax relief, so if you’re a taxpayer and invest £250, the taxman will refund £75 (and your original investment is still worth £250).
• From 2018 we hope to pay interest on shares up to 3% above the base rate—where else could you get this?
• You’ll have a say in the running of the pub—all members can attend and vote at annual members’ meetings and stand for election to the management committee. They also receive information and updates that are not available to non-members.
