UPDATE 13/12/23: As of the evening of 13th December, the road closure has been replaced by traffic lights and single lane working. So you can now reach the Case by car coming from either the A12 or from the A137. However repairs to the gas main are ongoing and the situation may change again. We will try to keep this post updated with new info as we get it.
For the last week, the main road through Bentley has been closed to traffic to effect emergency repairs to a gas main. Unfortunately it looks like the work may continue for some time to come. We’d like to reassure customers that we’re still open for business during this time – especially as we have a number of important events arranged leading up to Christmas.
The diagram below shows where the road is closed – cars can still reach the Case via Capel Road, if coming from the A12, or from Bergholt Road. If you’re coming from the main part of the village then you can reach the pub on foot as the pavement is clear.
